For all my life I've been particularly interested in the nature around us, how our actions affect the planet, and how we can solve the very problems we have created.
At present this fascination is mainly expressed by being active in NGOs. Currently, for example, I'm the climate political spokesperson and a national board member of Fältbiologerna (Nature and Youth Sweden, Sweden's biggest youth environmental NGO), leading our climate political commitee. In practice this means that I spend most of my weekends at (inter)national conferences talking to decision makers and fellow activists, at board meetings, away filming SoMe content, or attending our own events with our fantastic members.
Ever since my very first years in primary school I've been part of different student coucils and student organisations. During my last years of junior high (högstadiet) I co-founded a student council at my school, of which I'd later on become the president of. In this role I really learned how to engage students, how to fight school managment (no violence of course, just words), and how to run a small organisation. All these skills really set me up for continued advocacy in bigger organisations.
During the past few years I've also been president of Stockholms Elevråd (Stockholm Student Coucils), board member of Sveriges Elevråd (Swedens Student Councils, Sweden's biggest student rights organisation for grundskolan, K-9) and active at my high school's student council.
What's central in all of my work is getting young people on the train and making sure our voices are heard. After all, we are the next generation. We are the one's who'll ultimately face the consequences of climate change and the rampant inequality growing in our world. Our voices can't just be ignored.
